RingTwice · a Latimer Woods service

Know about every call you miss — even the ones who hang up.

Works with the phone number and phone company you already have. No switching, no porting, no new phones.

When your line is busy or nobody picks up, your phone company forwards the call to a number we run: the caller hears your business name and can ask for a callback or leave a message, and you get an email for every call.

How it works

Three steps, and your phones stay as they are.

1 · Forward

You turn on busy and no-answer forwarding with your phone company, pointed at your RingTwice number. For most lines it is a star code or a setting in the online account. I send your carrier's steps.

2 · Answer

The caller hears your business name. They press 1 to ask for a callback and give the number to call, or they leave a message, or they hang up.

3 · Email

You get one email per call saying what happened, with the callback number the caller confirmed or their message as audio.

What works today · verified 2026-10-05

The answering flow is built and proven with live calls.

Today it runs as the measurement line of the Call Flow Audit. RingTwice is the same flow offered on its own. Everything below was exercised with real calls on 2026-10-05 unless it carries its own date.

It answers the calls you miss

Busy calls, unanswered calls and after-hours calls that your phone company forwards are answered with your business name. You keep your number, your phone company and your phones.

A callback number the caller confirmed

A caller who presses 1 gives the number to call by keypad or by voice, hears it read back, and confirms it. Caller ID is never used as the callback number.

Messages, as audio

A caller who stays on the line leaves a message of up to two minutes, and it reaches you as audio.

Hang-ups, on the record

A caller who hangs up without choosing is still recorded: the time, and the caller ID labelled as what the phone network showed, never as a number the caller confirmed.

One email per call

Each call sends one email with its outcome: callback requested, message, or missed.

Recordings do not linger

The phone carrier's copy of a message is deleted once it has been delivered. Audio kept for your account is deleted after 90 days by the storage's own rule, read back on 2026-10-11.

Forwarding steps, with sources

Forwarding steps for 44 US carriers and phone systems, each cited to the carrier's own page, read between 2026-10-05 and 2026-10-10.

Built, being verified on production · check date 2026-10-14

Your own account, on the same flow.

These are built and running on the production service. They are being checked with real calls; until 2026-10-14 they are not in the list above. If a check fails, this page says so.

Built · being verified

Lines and the call list

  • Several lines in one account, each with its own RingTwice number
  • A call list with the outcome, the callback number, message playback and a "called back" mark
  • Each line's callback promise, "within an hour" or "the same business day", printed in every callback email

Built · being verified

The forwarding test call

  • A test call from your RingTwice number rings out at your business line and confirms the forward arrives back
  • Your carrier's steps are shown during setup, from the catalog above

Built · being verified

Sign-in by email link

  • No password: you sign in with a link sent to your email
  • The link works once and expires after 15 minutes

Coming · with dates

Schedules and a dashboard, being built now.

None of these is available yet. Each carries the date it is planned for; when a date moves, this page changes with it.

Planned for 2026-10-17

Your hours

  • Business hours and closed dates for each line
  • An after-hours greeting that tells the caller when you open, and a next-business-day callback promise
  • An optional urgent line during hours you choose: the caller presses 2 and it rings your on-call phone; if nobody answers, they can still ask for a callback

Planned for 2026-10-17

The dashboard

  • Open callbacks, oldest first
  • This week against last week
  • Missed calls by hour and by weekday, time to call back, and repeat callers
  • Your gap: the hour band where most of your calls are missed
  • A lost-revenue estimate from your own numbers
  • A weekly report email, and CSV export

Planned for 2026-10-24

Sign-up and billing

  • Live billing: self-serve sign-up at launch pricing with a card on file; cancel any time
  • Until then nothing is charged; the first ten businesses are set up by hand

Not dated

Waiting on others, or being weighed

  • Texting: a text to the caller, or one to you, waits on carrier registration, 1 to 3 weeks from application
  • A Spanish greeting is being evaluated

Where it fits

Six moments when the phone rings and nobody can pick up.

Each one uses only what works today. Where a moment would use something still coming, it is marked.

Home services

On a job, phone in the truck

The office line rings out while you are under a sink. The call forwards, the caller presses 1 and confirms the number to call, and the email is waiting when you get back to the truck.

Legal intake

In court, or with a client

A new caller reaches your firm's name instead of a ring with no answer. They leave a message, and you listen to it as audio at the next break. If they hung up instead, you still have the time and the caller ID.

Property management

A tenant calls after hours

Tonight it is an unanswered call like any other: the tenant hears your company's name and asks for a callback or leaves a message, and the email is in your inbox. It does not ring anyone.

Coming 2026-10-17: an urgent line during hours you choose, so the caller can press 2 to ring your on-call phone.

Retail or local shop

Lunch rush, one person on the floor

The line is busy while you ring up a customer. Busy calls forward too, so the next caller hears your shop's name instead of a busy signal and can ask you to call back.

Professional services

Back-to-back meetings

The afternoon's missed calls arrive one email each. A callback goes to the number the caller confirmed, not a main line their caller ID happened to show.

Two locations

Two shops, two phone companies

Each location forwards with its own carrier's steps from the catalog, and each missed call sends its email. Several lines in one account are being verified, check date 2026-10-14.

Coming 2026-10-17: the dashboard, with missed calls by hour and weekday for each location.

The honest comparison

Why not just add a phone line?

A new phone system

Replaces how your phones work.

  • Your number is ported to the new provider
  • New phones or apps for each person
  • A monthly fee per person
  • Voicemail when nobody answers: it does not ask for a callback number and confirm it, and it does not email you about the caller who hung up without leaving one

RingTwice

Sits behind the line you already have.

  • Keep your number, your phone company and your phones
  • One forwarding setting with your phone company
  • A callback number the caller gave and confirmed
  • An email for the caller who hung up, too
  • One price per business, not per person

RingTwice is not a phone system. It does not ring your staff, transfer calls or replace a menu. If you need those, a phone system is the right purchase, and RingTwice can still sit behind it.

Launch pricing

Priced per business, not per line.

Launch pricing for the first ten businesses, confirmed in writing before any charge. No charges are live yet. Cancel any time. More than one line in an account is being verified, check date 2026-10-14.

Starter

$19 a month

One line, with about 100 caught calls a month.

Office

$39 a month

Up to 5 lines, with about 300 caught calls a month.

Includes the weekly report, coming 2026-10-17.

Multi-site

$99 a month

Up to 15 lines across your locations.

Optional · done-for-you setup

$149 once, free for the first ten

I set up forwarding with you, place the test calls, and hand you the first week's record. Free for the first ten businesses.

A business measured by the Call Flow Audit keeps the same line; its first month on RingTwice is included.

Who it is not for

Not for healthcare practices until a business associate agreement chain exists.

Callers can leave health details in a message, and the services that carry and deliver it do not yet all sit under a business associate agreement. So RingTwice is not offered to dental, medical or other healthcare offices, and it is not HIPAA-covered. The setup form refuses those business types. I will say so here when that changes.

Questions

Short answers.

Do I change my number?

No. You keep your number, your phone company and your phones. Only busy and unanswered calls are forwarded, and you turn forwarding off with the same steps.

What does my caller hear?

"Thanks for calling" and your business name, "Sorry we missed you. Press 1 to ask for a callback, or stay on the line to leave a message."

What if they hang up?

If they hang up after the call reaches RingTwice, you get an email with the time and the caller ID. A caller who hangs up while your own phone is still ringing never reaches RingTwice; where your carrier lets you shorten the rings before forwarding, fewer are lost that way.

Do you record my calls?

No. RingTwice hears only the calls your phone company forwards because nobody answered or the line was busy, and it records only a message the caller chooses to leave. The carrier's copy is deleted once it is delivered; audio kept for your account is deleted after 90 days.

What happens after hours today?

An after-hours call is an unanswered call: it forwards, the caller hears the same greeting, and you have the email when you next look. Coming 2026-10-17: business hours and closed dates, with an after-hours greeting that says when you open.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. Nothing is charged today, and the launch price is confirmed in writing before any charge.

One ask

Put my business on the first ten.

What happens next

I reply within one business day.

You get your carrier's forwarding steps, the date your business can start, and the launch price in writing. Nothing is charged for asking. If your phones keep a call log, I may suggest the audit's free check first, so you know the size of the gap before you pay to catch it.

Four answers. No phone numbers are asked for here; the line's number comes later, on the forwarding steps.

Your business

Your data on this page

What this page stores: nothing beyond the email it sends.

The early-access form

Sends one email to me through Resend with the four answers you typed and nothing else. I keep that email for up to 24 months, or delete it sooner if you ask. No caller number is involved, and the form refuses anything shaped like a phone number.

The letter

Your address goes to beehiiv, which sends the letter and asks you to confirm before the first one. This site keeps no copy. Unsubscribe from any letter.

When RingTwice runs your line

Callers' numbers and messages are kept for 90 days under RingTwice's own privacy terms. The Call Flow Audit's promise never to store a caller's number stays with the audit. Site analytics are described in the privacy policy.
